Cardboard Catastrophe Project
During the project we got the opportunity to design and construct a three-dimensional creature or object and then find the surface area and volume of it. First we made a two-dimensional sketch of our creation. Then we learned how to find the surface area and volume by during some practice problems. After we constructed our creation and found the surface area and volume of all the different shapes we used. Finally we compiled it all together to make it look presentable. My favorite part of this project was building. I decided to build a turtle/dinosaur its name is Tiegan the Turtisaurous and it likes wearing fancy hats. I decided to build Tiegan because I thought it would be a fun to paper machete his shell. Over all this project was a fun and creative way of learning about surface area and volume. I thought Tiegan turned out great and I am very proud of my work. Below is pictures of my final product:
